When do dental benefits run out?

Dental benefits run out for many patients at the end of the calendar year or the last day of December. A few private insurance plans and health funds expire on the first day of July. Additionally, a few private plans may expire one year after the coverage start date.

Your Oatley dentist encourages you to check your policy carefully because dates can change. It’s also important to remember that benefits do not roll over. It’s a “use it or lose it” deal.

Fortunately, we may be able to help.

Using Your Private Dental Insurance and Health Funds Before They Expire

The team at CFS Dental want to ensure you get the benefits you deserve, so we encourage our patients to book their next dental visit before entitlements expire.

It may be that you skipped your check-up and teeth clean this year. Maybe you have a sensitive tooth or oral health change that is cause for concern.

For ongoing dental therapies, such as periodontal treatment, you can sometimes start treatment before your benefits expire and take up care early next year so as not to lose your benefits.

No matter the issue, we urge you to call our dental clinic to book your final dental visits of the year.
